Editor's Correspondence
It has been said that nothing instigates a letter to the editor better
than a error in the newspaper. We are always glad to receive letters, but
it is not our intention to use errors as incentive for them. Recently, however
there were errors in The Weekly and of course we were pleased to
hear about them from the readers. Thus:
- In August 20 edition our proofreader passed a heading with the word
"amalgamation" misspelled "amalmagation."
- September 1 edition had an article entitled "They planned this
affair" instead of "They planned this affair."
- On Sept. 13 in a report on UYL-NA convention we misspelled Miss
Palczynski's and Mrs. Halchuk's names. In the same edition,
too, there was an article on the "Ukrainian Olympiad" in which
the name of Viktor Herlinsky was omitted inadvertently from the
list of players in the men's tournament. Mr. Herlinsky placed third, and
represented the KLK.
To all attentive readers we say Thank you, and Let Us Know - always!
