Grigorenko to speak at Detroit program


DETROIT, Mitch. - Gen. Petro Grigorenko, head of the External Representation of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, will be the keynote speaker during the Detroit-area Ukrainian community's program commemorating the 62nd anniversary of Ukrainian independence.

The program will be held Sunday, January 20, at Fitzgerald High School in Warren.

Also slated to appear are Toronto's "Burlaka" chorus, composed of veterans of the 1st Division of the Ukrainian National Army, and Lida Kucher, who will present a recitation.

The program will be held in conjunction with traditional proclamation-signing and flag-raising ceremonies.
