Ukrainian fraternalists meet with Penna insurance commissioner

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - On Monday, November 19, members of the supreme assemblies of the Ukrainian Fraternal Association and the Ukrainian National Association availed themselves of an opportunity to confer with Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Harvey Bartle III in regard to fraternal insurance matters.

Representing the Ukrainian Fraternal Association were John Oleksyn, Supreme President, Edward Popil, Supreme Treasurer, and Dr. Roman Rychok, Supreme Secretary. Dr. John O. Flis, Supreme President, and Stefan Hawrysz, senior field organizer, represented the Ukrainian National Association.

The officials were attending the Pennsylvania Fraternal Congress which was held in Philadelphia from November 19 to November 21.

Especially of interest to the delegates were the seminars held by the commissioner of insurance and members of his staff on the new Pennsylvania laws and regulations governing licensing of organizers, and life insurance disclosure statements which are required to be prepared and executed at the time of the execution of applications for new life insurance in excess of $1,000.
