Czech dissidents warned
LONDON - Czech authorities rounded up 15 dissidents on December 13 and warned them not to support the protests of workers in Poland, where martial law had been declared a few hours earlier, reported the Associated Press.
Citing Jan Kaven, director of the London-based Palach Press, the AP reported that all the dissidents were eventually released after being warned that they would face stiff penalties if they spoke out against the imposition of a state of emergency in Poland by Communist Party leader Gen. Wojciech Jaruzelski.
