Senate confirms Dobriansky nomination

WASHINGTON - The Senate voted on December 10 to confirm the nomination of Dr. Lev E. Dobriansky as U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas.

Dr. Dobriansky, 64, a Georgetown University economics professor and president of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, was nominated for the position by President Ronald Reagan on October 25.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted to support his nomination on December 6.
