PREVIEW OF EVENTS
- NEW YORK: The annual conference of the American Association of Teachers
of Slavic and East European languages will include two sessions on Ukrainian
topics. From 3 to 5 p.m., a session on Ukrainian-German literary ties will
feature speakers Albert Kipa and Bohdan Rubchak. An evening session from
7 to 9 p.m. will feature the International Ivan Franko Society with Larissa
Onyshkevych chairing the meeting. Profs. Asya Humesky, Dmytro Shotohryn,
Natalia Pazuniak and Leo Rudnytzky will read their papers on Franko.
The three-day conference will be held at the Roosevelt
Hotel, Madison Avenue at 45 Street. All interested persons are invited
to attend the Franko session.
Saturday, December 31
- HUNTER, N.Y.: There will be a New Year's Eve party at the Xenia Motel.
Music will be provided by three bands, the Volcanoes, Exitz and a surprise.

- CAMBRIDGE, Mass.: An exhibit, titled "Famine in Soviet Ukraine
1932-33," is on view at the Widener Library Lobby, Harvard University,
December 10 through January 31.
