- NEW YORK: The Verkhovynky Plast sorority will present an afternoon
program, beginning at 4 p.m., dedicated to Ukrainian political prisoners
incarcerated in Perm special-regimen labor camp No. 36-1 at the Ukrainian
Institute of America, 2 E. 79th St. Participants in the program will include
Nadia Svitlychna, Dr. Daria Karanowycz, Ewhen Kurylo and Oles Kuzyszyn.

- HARTFORD, Conn.: The Ukrainian National Home of Hartford invites all
to a traditional Ukrainian Christmas Eve dinner in celebration of the Millennium
of Ukrainian Christianity at 6:30 p.m. at 961 Wethersfield Ave. A donation

- PARMA, Ohio: On the occasion of Christmas according to the Julian calendar,
St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral will broadcast the divine liturgy,
for the sick and elderly, live over station WABQ AM-1540 at 10:30 a.m.
The liturgy will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Stephen Hankavich and the
Rev. John Nakonachny. Responses will be sung by the parish choir directed
by Oleh Mahlay. At 10 a.m. the choir will sing carols.
- SASKATOON, Sask.: A public opening and reception for the exhibition
"Struggle for Freedom: Recent Works by Julian Sadlowski," will
be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, 910 Spadina Crescent
East. The artist will be in attendance. The exhibit will include sketches
in pen and ink depicting historical scenes from Ukraine and the life of
Ukrainian pioneers in Canada, and will continue through February 14. For
