PASSAIC, N.J.: The Ukrainian Center invites everyone to ring in 2000 with friends and loved ones. A sit-down family-style dinner will be served at 8:30 p.m., followed by dancing to the Sitch band at 9:30 p.m. and a champagne toast with hats and party favors at midnight. Donation: $50 per person. Without dinner, tickets are $25 and include admission to the zabava and the Downstairs Bar, where you can enjoy hot and cold hors d'oeuvres all evening, jukebox tunes, and a Happy Hour with half-priced drinks from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. For reservations call Vira, (973) 473-3379, after 4 p.m.

DENVER, Colo.: "Mellenium Melanka!" Come join the Ukrainian National Women's League of America Branch 38 for the Malanka celebration in beautiful Denver. Bring in the new century with dinner and dancing to the music of Ostap Stahiv and singers of Cleveland and lots of other fun. Advance purchase tickets: $35 for dinner and dance; $15 for dance only; $10, students. Tickets at the door: $20, adults, $15, students. REMINDER REGARDING NEW REQUIREMENTS:

Effective September 1, there is a $10 charge per submission for listings in Preview of Events. The listing plus payment must be received no later than one week before the desired date of publication. There is also the option of prepayment for a series of listings.

Listings of no more than 100 words (written in Preview format) plus payment should be sent to: Preview of Events, The Ukrainian Weekly, 2200 Route 10, P.O. Box 280, Parsippany, NJ 07054. Information sent by fax should include a copy of a check, in the amount of $10 per listing, made out to The Ukrainian Weekly. The Weekly's fax number is (973) 644-9510.
