Elected vice-president of pharmaceutical group

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. - Dr. Oleh Denysyk was elected vice-president of the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence and Research Group (PBIRG), an international business intelligence organization. PBIRG is a trade organization that promotes the role of business intelligence and market research within the pharmaceutical industry. About 105 companies are members of the organization, which is headquartered outside of Philadelphia.

Dr. Denysyk will be responsible for professional development and education. In this role, he will organize, lead and moderate the annual general meeting, which will be held in Naples, Fla., in May 2000. He is also responsible for planning and leading a workshop held in Lambertville, N.J., every autumn.

In addition to this position, Dr. Denysyk is director of business intelligence and market research for Pharmacia & Upjohn in Peapack, N.J. He supervises a staff that has responsibility for providing worldwide market research for ophthalmic, growth hormone, Parkinson's disease and women's health products.

Dr. Denysyk is a pharmacist and recently completed his doctorate of pharmacy degree. He was born and raised in New York City and was a student at St. George Ukrainian Catholic School and the School of Ukrainian Studies.

Dr. Denysyk is also involved in Plast (Newark branch) as a member of the board of trustees, organizes weekly volleyball sessions within his town, and is a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Whippany, N.J. His entire family belongs to UNA Branch 143.
