Jersey professor sets up scholarship


CRANFORD, N.J. - Bodihan Lukaschewsky, a professor at Union County College for 28 years, has established the Taras Shevchenko Scholarship to financially assist matriculated students of Ukrainian descent at the community school.

Himself an immigrant from Ukraine, Prof. Lukaschewsky said he hopes to provide serious students with the recognition and help they deserve.

To be considered for the scholarship, a UCC student must have completed at least 12 credit hours and have attained at least a 3.0 grade point average.
