- NEW YORK: The Plast Ukrainian Youth Organization, New York City Branch,
invites all children to come join us for a visit with St. Nicholas at 2
p.m. in the Plast Building, 144 Second Ave. (corner of Ninth Street) The
heavenly office will be accepting gifts starting at 10 a.m. for a nominal
handling fee. Please mark gifts clearly and limit gifts to one per child.
In addition, there will be a Christmas Bazaar and the just-released commemorative
50th Anniversary Book about Plast will be available for purchase. Cost
of the book is $40. Everyone is sure to have a fun time!

- LINCROFT, N.J.: A divine liturgy presided by Archbishop Stefan Soroka,
metropolitan for Ukrainian Catholics in America, will be celebrated at
the Monastery of the Basilian Father of Mariapoch, 360 Monastery Lane,
Aberdeen Township, N.J., at 10:30 a.m. The liturgy will be followed by
a forum at 11:30 a.m. on the future of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in
Monmouth County. The event is sponsored by St. Wolodymyr the Great Ukrainian
Catholic Church in Lincroft. We cordially invite all interested Monmouth

is holding a New Year's Eve celebration starting at 9 p.m., with music

- BOSTON: "Malanka 2002," with music by Zolota Bulava, is being
hosted by the Boston Ukrainian community including Plast, Ukrainian American
Heritage Foundation, and Ukrainian American Veterans. Advance purchase
tickets before January 7, 2002: adults, $30; youths, $20. Tickets at the
door: adults, $40; youths, $25. Buffet included in ticket price. The Malanka
will be held at Cedars of Lebanon, 61 Rockwood St., Jamaica Plain; liturgy

- HARTFORD, Conn.: A Ukrainian New Year's Eve dance - Malanka - will
be held at the Ukrainian National Home, 961 Wethersfield Ave., at 9 p.m.
to 2 a.m. Dance to the tunes of the Vodohray Orchestra. Donation: adults,
$20; students, $15. For tickets and table reservations call the Ukrainian

6-8 p.m. or Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The Malanka is sponsored by the Hartford
branches of the Organization for the Defense of Four Freedoms for Ukraine
(ODFFU), the ODFFU Women's Association, and the Ukrainian American Youth
Association (SUM).
REMINDER REGARDING REQUIREMENTS:
There is a $10 charge per submission for listings in Preview of Events.
The listing plus payment must be received no later than one week before
the desired date of publication. There is also the option of prepayment
for a series of listings.
Listings of no more than 100 words (written in Preview format) plus payment
