BOSTON: Members of Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization invite the Ukrainian community to join them for a picnic to celebrate their branch's 50th anniversary. The picnic will be held on the grounds of Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m., immediately following the 10 a.m. liturgy. CHICAGO: The season premiere of The Ukrainian Artistic Center Chamber Orchestra concert series, under the direction of Zeonid Modrytskyj, will take place at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 2247 W. Chicago Ave., at 1 p.m. The program comprises: retro music of Bohdan Wesolowsky, as orchestrated by Myroslav Skoryk, with Ostap Zorych, soloist; works by Skoryk, Kos-Anatolsky and Kropyvnytsky, as well as Vivaldi and Rossini, as performed by Myroslava Kuka, soprano; R. Kalakunyak, clarinet; and J. Rudnytsky, violin. Tickets: $15; seniors and students, $10.

Preview of Events is a listing of Ukrainian community events open to the public. It is a service provided at minimal cost ($20 per listing) by The Ukrainian Weekly to the Ukrainian community.

To have an event listed in Preview of Events please send information, in English, written in Preview format, i.e., in a brief paragraph that includes the date, place, type of event, sponsor, admission, full names of persons and/or organizations involved, and a phone number to be published for readers who may require additional information. Items should be no more than 100 words long; longer submissions are subject to editing. Items not written in Preview format or submitted without all required information will not be published.

Preview items must be received no later than one week before the desired date of publication. No information will be taken over the phone. Items will be published only once, unless otherwise indicated. Please include payment for each time the item is to appear and indicate date(s) of issue(s) in which the item is to be published.
