Governor

January 2004

Dear Friends,

Warm greetings and congratulations to the Ukrainian National Association on its 110th Anniversary

New Jersey is unique in its rich ethnic diversity and cultural heritage, having served as the gateway for many groups of immigrants coming to this country to find freedom and opportunity. Ukrainian-Americans are a vital part of the State of New Jersey, who have made and continue to make important contributions to the social, cultural and economic life of the Garden State.

Since 1894, the Ukrainian National Association has demonstrated a consistent commitment to the Ukrainian community. On behalf of the State of New Jersey, I commend the members of the Association for their hard work and dedication. Over the years, you have undoubtedly impacted and improved countless lives.

Ones again, congratulations and best hopes for the future. I rely on concerned citizens such as yourself as my Administration works to better educate our children, create jobs, and protect our open space and clean water.

With all good wishes,
James E. McGreevey
