FOR THE RECORD: Members of the Jackson-Vanik Graduation
Coalition
On March 8, the House of Representatives approved HR 1053 to graduate
Ukraine from the Jackson-Vanik Amendment. The Senate followed suit the next
day. President George W. Bush signed the bill into law on March 23.
For the historical record, The Ukrainian Weekly is publishing the complete
list of members of the Jackson-Vanik Graduation Coalition, an ad hoc group
whose goal was the lifting of Jackson-Vanik restrictions and the granting
of permanent normal trade relations to Ukraine.
