30th convoy illegally crosses border

More

KYIV – Russia’s 30th truck convoy supposedly carrying humanitarian aid to the residents of war-torn Donbas on June 18 crossed into Ukraine. Having crossed the Ukrainian border, the convoy of more than 100 trucks split into two columns – one headed to Luhansk and the other one to Donetsk. The Russian Emergencies Ministry again announced that the trucks will bring food, medicine and other essential items to the residents of east Ukraine’s occupied regions. It is not known what is actually inside the vehicles because Russia does not allow inspections to be performed by Ukrainian border guards, members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe or International Red Cross workers. Ukrainian security officials insist that the trucks are largely used to supply militant forces with weapons. (Ukraine Today)
