Groysman or Hroysman?

Mariia Budiakova, press officer of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, asked by The Ukrainian Weekly and Svoboda how the name of Ukraine’s new prime minister should be spelled in English and Ukrainian, responded that in English his name is written Volodymyr Groysman, while in Ukrainian it is Володимир Борисович Гройсман (Volodymyr Borysovych Hroysman). Indeed, that is how the names appear on his Facebook page. The question of spelling/transliteration arose because there have been various versions of the spelling of the new prime minister’s surname in English (Hroysman, Hroisman, Groisman and Groysman), and it was unclear whether his last name in Ukrainian should be rendered as Гройсман or Ґройсман.
