KERHONKSON, N.Y. – The famed a cappella group Pikkardiyska Tertsiya and vocalist Oksana Mukha of Lviv will be among the headliners of the 10th annual Ukrainian Cultural Festival at the Soyuzivka Heritage Center on July 8-10.

They join Vopli Vidopliassova, appearing for the first time at the festival, and Vasyl Popadiuk, a fan favorite at the festival.

Tertsiya will be performing in the U.S. for the first time in 10 years. Founded in 1992 in Lviv, the sextet has appeared in concert at venues throughout Europe and North America, as well as in Singapore. The group’s repertoire encompasses hundreds of songs of diverse musical genres (pop, jazz, country, rock, classical, folk, blues and spirituals) in 12 languages – but mostly in Ukrainian.

Ms. Mukha has often been compared to the unforgettable Ukrainian American singer Kvitka Cisyk. In fact, in 2011 she won the Kvitka Cisyk International Vocal Competition of Ukrainian Romances. In 2010 Ms. Mukha released her first solo album, “Resheto,” featuring creatively arranged folk songs, ethno-pop, lyrical ballads and classics. This will be the singer’s first performance at the Ukrainian Cultural Festival.
