Statement on International Holocaust Remembrance Day

More

The following statement was released by “Ukraine-2050” on January 27.

On January 27 the non-governmental organization “Ukraine-2050” stands united with the world in honoring the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.

Recalling the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person; everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
On this day, we remember the victims of the Holocaust who were denied these inalienable rights in a genocide committed by a barbarous Nazi regime.

We call upon everyone to combat antisemitism, xenophobia and racism, as well as to promote respect for fundamental freedoms and basic human rights worldwide.
