UNA CELEBRATES 125 YEARS: A snapshot from history, 1936

The photo above appeared in the Ukrainian-language “Jubilee Book of the Ukrainian National Association” published in 1936 to mark the UNA’s 40th anniversary (1934). Pictured are members of UNA Branch 362, named Prosvita, in Bristol, Pa. The “Jubilee Book” notes that the branch was founded on January 9, 1927, with 19 members. It was established by Mykhailo Leshak, Petro Zakutynsky, Mykola Vasiurka and Ivan Sydorsky (N.B.: The names are transliterated from Ukrainian.)
