Located at 1230 Beaver Run Drive in Lehighton, Pa., the Ukrainian Homestead is ready to welcome overnight visitors and day trippers.  The kitchen will be open on the weekends, featuring sumptuous Ukrainian delicacies, and the pool and picnic grounds will be open in late June.  Casual and fine dining, hiking and biking tours, boutique shopping and train excursions are just five minutes away in the picturesque historic town of Jim Thorpe.

The summer season kicks off with a picnic on Sunday, May 28.  The Ukrainian American Heritage Foundation dance camp runs June 26 through June 30.  A finale dance performance is offered on Saturday, July 1, at 7 p.m., followed by a “zabava” to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend.

The highlight of the summer for the Ukrainian Homestead is the annual Ukrainian Festival.  This year’s festival is Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20, beginning at noon both days.  Featured performers include the Kazka Ukrainian Folk Ensemble, celebrating its 30th anniversary of song and dance; renowned violinist Innesa Tymochko-Dekajlo; and accordionist Walt Syzonenko playing the Saturday evening zabava.
