NEWARK, N.J. - The 37th annual Sports School of Chornomorska Sitch geared for girls and boys age 6-18 will run at Soyuzivka from July 23 to August 5 (two weeks).

Theoretical and practical lessons will be held every day except Sunday. As in previous years, students can choose from four sports, two each day: soccer, tennis, swimming and volleyball.

They will be trained by experienced instructors: Andrew Panas, assisted by Greg Serheev - soccer; Taissa Bokalo-Hagerty - swimming; Alina Kozak - volleyball; Larissa Lukiw - tennis, as well as a few others.

During the second week of the Sports School, on the initiative of Soyuzivka Manager Nestor Paslawsky, there will be lessons in golf and beach volleyball.

During the first week, there will be team practice in preparation for the Ukrainian Youth Games, which are scheduled to take place at the Ukrainian American Youth Association (SUM) resort in nearby Ellenville, N.Y.

Hundreds of graduates of the Sitch Sports School have become outstanding athletes, coaches and team leaders in American high schools and colleges. Sitch's philosophy in running the annual camp is based on the fact that physical education and sports not only prepare our youth for success in school, but also keep them away from various harmful influences and habits.

The excellent accommodations and sports facilities as well as the healthy meals offered by Soyuzivka are sure to satisfy even the most demanding participants.
